Help & Troubleshooting
Answers to the questions we hear most often.
1. For Everyone
Signing in
I can't sign in, or I see "Couldn't verify your sign-in."
GlamGo uses Sign in with Apple on iPhone and Sign in with Google on Android — there's no separate GlamGo password to remember. If sign-in fails, close the app completely, reopen it and try again. Also check that your device is signed into iCloud (iPhone) or a Google account (Android).
It says my email isn't verified.
GlamGo requires a verified email address. Verify your email with Apple or Google first, then come back and sign in again. We can't verify it on your behalf.
It says an account with this email already exists.
You originally signed up using the other provider. If you first signed in with Google, sign in with Google — and likewise for Apple. Once your email is verified with both, the accounts link up automatically.
I got signed out, or it says my session expired.
Just sign in again. Nothing is lost — your bookings, saved looks, cards and profile all live on your GlamGo account, not on your phone.
My name is blank on my profile after signing in with Apple.
Apple only shares your name the very first time you authorise an app, and only if you allow it. If it was skipped, you can add your name yourself under Profile → Personal Info. Reinstalling the app won't bring it back.
Notifications
I'm not receiving notifications.
Check these in order:
- Permission. GlamGo asks for notification permission the first time you open it. If you declined, your phone remembers that — turn notifications back on in your device Settings, under GlamGo.
- Open the app once. Your device re-registers for notifications each time you open GlamGo, so simply launching it often fixes delivery.
- Make sure you're signed in. Notifications are tied to your account.
There's a badge on the bell but my inbox looks empty.
The badge counts unread notifications across your whole account. If the Unread only switch is on and you've since read everything, the list will look empty — turn the switch off to see your full history, or pull down to refresh.
Your inbox is account-wide: if you use GlamGo both as a client and as a beauty provider, you'll see notifications from both here, no matter which mode you're currently in.
I tapped a notification and the app switched modes on me.
That's intentional. If a notification is about your provider activity while you're browsing as a client (or the other way round), tapping it takes you straight to the right screen and switches mode for you. You can switch back any time from your Profile.
I swiped a notification away by mistake.
Deleting a notification is permanent — there's no undo. The booking or review it referred to is completely unaffected; only the inbox entry is gone.
I tapped the buttons on a notification banner and nothing happened.
Tap the text of the notification rather than the action buttons. The buttons currently open the app without taking you to the right screen — we're working on it.
Links people share with you
Someone sent me a GlamGo link and it opened a web page instead of the app.
Press and hold the link and choose Open in GlamGo. That reliably opens the app when it's installed.
I tapped a link, signed in, and ended up on the home feed instead.
This is a known issue. When you tap a GlamGo link while signed out, we currently lose track of where you were headed once you've signed in. Tap the same link again now that you're signed in and it will take you to the right place. We're working on a fix.
App updates
The app says "Update required" and I can't get past it.
Your version is too old to keep working safely. Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android), search for GlamGo, and tap Update. You'll be able to continue as soon as the update finishes.
There's an "Update GlamGo" banner that keeps coming back.
Dismissing it hides it for your current session only. Updating the app is what makes it stop — and it's worth doing.
Appointment times
The appointment time doesn't match my phone's clock.
This is intentional. GlamGo always shows appointment times in your provider's local time — the time they committed to at their location — and never converts them to your phone's timezone.
If you're travelling, or you and your provider are in different timezones, you'll see their clock, not yours. Since the appointment happens in person at their location, that's the time that actually matters.
Display
The app won't rotate to landscape.
GlamGo is designed for portrait only. Every screen is a single column, so there's no landscape layout to switch to.
2. For Clients
Finding looks
The feed says "No looks found."
Either the service type you've selected has no listings near you, or your location is too specific. Try clearing the service-type filter first, then change your location or switch to Explore Looks.
I've reached the end — "No More Results."
You've seen everything that matches your current filter and location. Start Again replays the feed from the beginning; to see genuinely new looks, change the service type or your location.
I see a city and ZIP code instead of a distance.
That happens in Explore Looks mode, where GlamGo isn't using your location, so there's no distance to calculate. Switch to Current Location or pick a saved address to see distances again.
I'm also a Beauty Provider — why can't I find my own looks in the feed?
Your own listings don't appear in the client feed or search, because they aren't services you can book. You'll still find them on your Pro Profile page and under My Looks.
The heart won't stay filled, or a saved look disappeared.
When saving fails — usually a brief connection problem — the heart reverts. Try again. If a look vanished from Saved Looks entirely, the provider has most likely unpublished or removed it.
Location and addresses
It keeps asking for my location, and now nothing shows up nearby.
Sharing your location is optional — you can always Continue without location — but without it we can't show distances or sort by what's closest. To fix this later, either enable location for GlamGo in your device Settings, or choose one of your saved addresses from the location selector at the top of the feed.
How do I add an address?
Profile → My Addresses → +. You can also add one without leaving what you're doing: the location picker on the feed has an Add address option and returns you to the feed once you've saved it.
I can't delete an address.
Delete from Profile → My Addresses. If the delete won't go through, it's usually because that address is your default — set a different one as default first, then delete.
Choosing a time
The time I picked was taken.
Someone else booked it moments before you did. The day refreshes automatically, so just choose another slot.
Earlier times are greyed out even though my provider looks free.
A time can only be booked if the whole service fits before your provider's next commitment. A 60-minute service can't start 30 minutes before an existing appointment — which is why the unavailable slots often appear before a booked one, not just on it.
I already reserved a time and now I can't move it to a nearby slot.
Make sure you're on the latest version of the app. Older versions treated your own reservation as a conflict and blocked the times around it.
I picked a time but didn't finish — is it reserved?
Choosing a time places a temporary hold, but your booking isn't confirmed until you complete the card step. If you leave the flow, the hold expires on its own after a while.
It's asking for my address before I can pay.
That look is an on-call service, meaning your provider travels to you — so we need a specific address to send them to. Current Location and Explore Looks aren't precise enough. Studio appointments never ask for this.
The Book button is greyed out.
That's one of your own looks. Beauty Providers can't book their own services.
Payment
Why do you need my card if I pay at the appointment?
You pay your provider for the service itself at your appointment. The card you add is held as a cancellation warranty — nothing is charged and no hold is placed on your account when you book. It's only charged if you cancel inside the late window or don't show up.
"Something went wrong setting up your card."
Your reservation is safe — the time is still held for you. Tap Continue and try again. If it keeps failing, try a different card.
I closed the card screen by accident.
Nothing was charged and nothing was lost. Your time is still reserved — tap Continue to pick up where you left off.
Do I have to type my card in every time?
No. Cards you've used before appear in the payment screen for one-tap selection. If you're still being asked to type a full card number every time, update the app.
How do I remove a saved card?
Removing a card isn't available in the app yet. Contact support and we'll remove it from your account for you.
Where can I see what I've been charged?
Profile → Payment History lists every charge and refund on your account, newest first, each with a link to its receipt.
Consent forms
What is the consent form, and do I have to sign it?
Yes — your provider can't begin your service without it. It covers a few health questions, space for any conditions or medications you want to mention, your full legal name and your signature.
Where do I sign it?
From your booking in My Bookings, or from your booking confirmation screen. Your provider can also send you a reminder that links straight to it.
The form is read-only and I can't change my answers.
You can fill in and edit your consent form while your booking is confirmed and before your service begins. Once the service has started or finished, the form is locked — it's a signed record at that point. If you need something corrected afterwards, speak to your provider.
My provider says they can't see my signed form.
First, check you actually pressed Submit — both your full legal name and your signature are required before the Submit button becomes active. If you did submit, ask your provider to pull down to refresh their screen; it updates within moments of you signing.
I got a "please sign your consent form" reminder.
Your provider sent it. If you've already signed, it's safe to ignore — but it's worth double-checking that you completed the signature step.
Care instructions
Where are my aftercare instructions?
The care button on your booking changes automatically: before your appointment it shows Pre-Appointment Care, and once the appointment is finished it shows Post-Appointment Care. Both are also included in your consent form.
It says there are no care instructions.
Your provider hasn't published any for this service. Ask them directly — they may have advice they haven't added to GlamGo yet.
Cancelling, and fees
How do I cancel?
My Bookings → Cancel on the booking. You'll be asked to confirm, and you can add a reason if you'd like. Cancelling is final — it can't be undone.
I was warned about a late-cancellation fee.
Your appointment is inside the late-cancellation window, and cancelling now charges the amount shown in the warning to the card on file. Cancel before that window opens and there's no fee — you won't see the warning at all.
I was charged a fee but I don't remember a warning.
Make sure you're on the latest version — older versions could miscalculate the window when you and your provider were in different timezones. For a specific charge, contact support with your booking details and we'll look into it.
Cancelling failed with "Something went wrong."
Usually the booking has already moved on — your provider may have marked it finished or recorded a no-show. Pull down to refresh My Bookings to see its current status.
My provider marked me as a no-show and I was charged.
Beauty Providers can record a no-show only after your appointment's start time has passed, and doing so charges the no-show fee. If you believe this was a mistake, contact support with your booking details.
Reviews
How do I leave a review?
Once your appointment is finished, a review option appears on the booking in My Bookings. You can leave a rating, a comment and photos.
I already left a review and the button is gone.
That's expected — your booking now shows the review you published. There's one review per appointment.
"Couldn't save your review."
Your draft is still on screen, so just try again. If you attached photos, try submitting without them first — that usually isolates an upload problem.
My bookings
My booking isn't in the list.
Check the tabs at the top: Pending, Completed and Canceled. A booking that's been finished or cancelled has moved to a different tab, not disappeared.
A booking says "Address unavailable."
The saved address attached to that booking has since been deleted or changed. Your provider still has the address on their side — message them to confirm the details.
3. For Beauty Providers
Getting started
I tapped "Start earning on GlamGo" — what happens now?
That switches you into provider mode and starts setup. To become active, you need three things: a phone number, a default working address, and a weekly schedule. Until all three are in place, your provider account isn't live.
I finished setup but there was no "Submit" button.
There isn't one. Your account activates automatically once all three requirements are complete. If you're still not active, one of the three is missing or incomplete — go back through setup and check each step.
I left setup halfway through — do I start over?
No. Each step saves when you tap Continue, and returning to setup fills in everything you've already entered. Only the step you were editing when you left is lost.
How do I switch back to client mode?
Profile → Switch to Client Mode, and the same button in reverse to come back. Switching is instant and doesn't change your account in any way.
Availability and schedule
What does the Active / Inactive switch at the top do?
It controls whether you're taking new work. Inactive means you're not currently accepting bookings. The switch appears on every provider screen while you're in provider mode.
I flipped the switch and it flipped back.
The change couldn't be saved — usually a brief connection problem. Try again.
Clients can't find me, or my looks aren't showing in search.
Check these four things in order:
- Your availability is set to Active.
- Your provider setup is complete — phone number, working address and schedule.
- Your look is published. A look needs a name, a service type, a price above zero and a duration before it can go live.
- Your subscription has a valid payment method. If the card on your subscription was removed or declined, your looks stop appearing in search. You'll see a warning on your bookings screen and on your subscription page, with a link to add a new card.
Where do I set my working hours and service area?
Profile → Business Settings — your weekly schedule, your working location and, if you travel to clients, your service radius.
Your agenda
My agenda looks out of date.
Pull down to refresh. Your agenda also updates automatically when a notification arrives, but a manual refresh always brings in the latest.
Completing bookings and no-shows
There's no "Start Service" button any more.
That step was removed. It didn't record anything useful, and providers who forgot to tap it were then unable to close the booking at all. You can now mark a confirmed booking as completed directly.
"Mark Completed" and "Not Show" are greyed out.
Both stay disabled until your appointment's start time, then enable on their own — no refresh needed. This prevents a mistap on tomorrow's booking from closing it, which can't be undone.
"It's too early to mark this booking as a no-show."
Beyond the start time, there's a short grace period before a no-show can be recorded — so your client has a fair chance to arrive. Wait a little longer and try again.
"This booking can no longer be changed" or "can no longer be completed."
The booking has already moved past that point — often the client cancelled, or it's already been completed. Refresh your agenda to see its current status.
It warned me the consent form isn't signed but let me complete the service anyway.
That's a warning, not a block — you can confirm and continue. A signed consent form is required before you can start a service, so this shouldn't come up often.
I marked a no-show by mistake.
This can't be undone in the app, and it charges your client the no-show fee. Contact support straight away with the booking details and we'll help sort it out.
Consent forms
I can see my client's consent form but I can't edit it.
That's correct — only your client can complete their own consent form. You'll always see it read-only, which keeps it valid as a signed record.
"Request Consent Form" says a reminder was already sent.
Reminders are limited so clients aren't overwhelmed. "A reminder was already sent" means you need to wait a little longer. "No more reminders can be sent for this booking" means you've used them all — contact your client directly at that point.
The reminder button disabled itself after one tap.
You'd already reached the reminder limit for that booking. Reach out to your client another way.
Clients and notes
Where do I find a past client?
The Clients tab lists everyone you've served, with search and a full service history for each person.
It says "No clients yet" but I've completed appointments.
Only completed bookings create a client record. Pending and cancelled ones don't.
Can my clients see my notes?
No. Post-service notes are private to you.
"Add a note or a photo before saving."
An empty note can't be saved — add some text or at least one photo.
My Looks
I can't publish my look.
Publishing needs all four: a name, a service type, a price above zero, and a duration. The form tells you which one is missing.
I deleted a look and the list looks wrong afterwards.
Pull down to refresh — that puts the list back in order. This also applies to deleting notifications from your inbox.
My photos didn't upload.
Try again — it's a connection problem, and nothing else about your look is lost.
Subscription
Do I need a subscription to work on GlamGo?
No. It's optional, and you can skip it during setup with one tap. You can build your portfolio and take bookings without one, and subscribe later from Profile → Subscription.
I'm being told my subscription has no payment method.
The card on your subscription was removed or declined. This affects your visibility — your looks stop appearing in search until it's resolved. Tap the warning on your bookings screen or subscription page to add a new card; it takes a few taps.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Profile → Subscription → Cancel subscription. You keep full access until the end of your current billing period, and you can undo it any time before then with Reactivate your subscription.
I cancelled but I still have access.
That's how it works — cancelling takes effect at the end of your paid period, not immediately. You've already paid for that time.
I was expecting a free trial but it says "Activate Subscription."
The free trial has already been used on your account. It's available once per account.
"Couldn't start your subscription."
Payment setup didn't complete. Nothing was charged. Try again, and if it keeps failing, try a different card.
Reviews
Where do I see reviews clients left me?
Profile → My Reviews, and on your public Pro Profile. Tapping a review notification takes you straight to the appointment it's about.
It says "No reviews yet" but I've completed appointments.
Reviews are optional for clients and only possible once an appointment is finished. Nothing is wrong.
